The Virtuous Woman: "True Beauty of a Woman"

The following excerpt is from a marvelous book about Motherhood titled "The Price of Motherhood" by Ann Crittenden. It is a great read. I recommend it for mothers as well as fathers and young people alike of both sexes; very eye opening book. “Every now and then someone calculates what a family would have to pay for a mother’s services. By adding up the median annual salaries of the seventeen occupations a mother is expected to perform, from child rearing, cooking, and cleaning to managing household finances and resolving family emotional problems, plus the additional occasional services of psychologists, a financial planner, a chauffeur, and so on this package could easily add up to $100,000 a year—or $100,000 a year more than a mother is paid.” Nevertheless, no one is crazy enough to work for free but moms (Crittenden pp 8)."

"A mother exemplifies: the Love of God, the meekness of Mary, mother of Jesus, the dedication of Ruth, the faith of Hannah, the boldness of Esther, and the virtues of Proverbs 31. For every child birthed, every diaper changed, every nose wiped, every problem solved, every song sung, every kiss given, for all the sleepless nights, every prayer spoken, we want to say THANK YOU. THANK YOU for showing us what it means to be the hands and feet of JESUS!"<3

I like to say that Mothers are super human beings. They are the foundation of every home after Jesus Christ. God has a purpose for creating the woman secondly (Gen 2v21,22) God has given women a huge task to fulfill in the home, but has embedded in us virtues to fulfill those tasks. I pray that He will strengthen us, and equip us to carry out all that He has destined for us to perform and become from since the foundation of the world. I pray that as our days so shall our strength be (Deu 33v25b) in Jesus' name. Amen.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all mothers and to future mothers as well. May the treasures that God took HIS time to implant in us be effectively utilized to assist our families and others in the world; may HE clothe us with the robe of righteousness (Isaiah 61v10) to become pillars of true beauty to radiate his glory from the inside out, in His precious name, Amen.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY, once again. I hope that our mothers are having a swell afternoon and are being treated like the Ohemaas that they truly are. In my native language Twi, "Ohemaa" means Queen. ;)

Have a lovely remaining of the day, and a great week ahead!

God bless,
Charity
