My Weekly Inspirations - 20

Message: "Give her of the fruit of her hands; And let her own works praise her in the gates." Proverbs‬ ‭31‬:‭31‬ ‭KJV‬‬

I was listening to the audio Bible this week and I was so inspired by Proverbs 31 specifically verse 31 as highlighted above. As I listened to the passage I noted a woman with busy hands. She was not idle, she didn't fold her hands and sit lazily. She made positive use of her God-given hands. With her hands she planted a vineyard, made clothing for her family, prepared meals for her family and helpers, and lent a helping hand to the needy.

With her hands she wisely selects quality food for her family to consume, she is a diligent worker in her home, ensuring that all things are put into the right place. With her hands she gives what she has, her hands are strong to handle machinery. With her hands she sells quality products, she is a supplier for others, she ultimately works willingly with her hands, she is not coerced, forced or manipulated into doing good!

The goodness of her hands stems from a good heart that has been transformed by God Himself. As I reflect on these noble characteristics, my desire is: Lord make my hands and my life a channel of blessing to my family, the body of Christ and the world at large. Prosper the work of my hands, let it yield abundant fruit to your glory!

Modesty: when it comes to modesty, it can be a fun experience to mix and match colors, patterns and prints. The mix and match is my personal favorite aspect of dress. It creates and opportunity for much creativity and variety. When I have prints and

patterns, I ensure that patterns have similar colors. Then I select a piece of solid colored garment perhaps a color from the patterns of clothes already selected to tone down the busyness of the outfit. In my case, I wore two different patterns for my top and skirt then I chose solid colored jacket, shoes and hat to accessorize. All colors were in the same family which helped to pull the outfit together nicely. Have fun on your modesty journey! Modesty is not boring.

Marriage: This portion of this week's 4M's was written by my beloved husband: "Godly marriage unveils a sacred space. Parents entwined, hearts bound as one, A journey of love, forever begun.

Through trials faced and storms weathered, Their unity stands, a love tethered. In the crucible of commitment's flame, A godly marriage, a lasting name. Our two beautiful children (E&E)  born into this hallowed embrace

Nurtured by love, a secure place. Guided by virtue, morals aglow, In the shelter of this love, they grow in grace. We strive to give them lessons of kindness and patience unfold. As a godly marriage, a story is told. Values instilled in our family tree

Blessings abound, for all to see. As parents, we find solace in shared devotion, A harmonious symphony, a lifetime's potion. And children, in this loving cocoon, Discover blessings that will forever swoon. In the tapestry of a godly marriage divine,

Hearts intertwined, an eternal sign. A legacy of love, a sacred bond, In the blessings of God, they respond. May Christ, continue to be the center of our hearts and home!"

We pray that our home remains a godly one by God's grace and to you that is single our encouragement is that you pray for a godly spouse and the wisdom to build a godly family.

Motherhood:
This week, the thought of self care as a mother came to mind. I begun to think about my own practices of self care. The truth is that as a busy mom it is so important that we are fueling ourselves in order to give our best to our families. Personally my number one form of self care is making room for my heart. This means that I connect myself with God's word.

By doing so, my heart is postured to be encouraged, uplifted, inspired, purified, and refreshed. God's word is the food of my soul and the virtues obtained from the sacred Word is the best gift that I can give to my family and the world. This year, one of my desires is to read and listen to more of God's word. I am doing this by taking advantage of devotional plans in my Bible app, listening to sermons on a weekly basis and being committed to daily prayer. So far so good. I pray for greater grace to continue.

Another form of self care for me is investing in my career. I thank God for my husband who has been my encourager in that aspect. The Lord has helped me to invest a lot into obtaining my nursing degrees. By God's grace I hold a masters degree in nursing. I am trusting the Lord to help me to utilize my degree to its fullest extent. In this season of my life, being able to leave home to go to work in the service of others has actually been a blessing. The work can be challenging but its been an opportunity to share Christ with my patients and encourage my colleagues spiritually as well.

I hope that you're inspired by the 4 M's this week!
